Robert K. Druger, M.D., Ph.D., is an ophthalmologist with special interest in diabetes, glaucoma, and cataracts, as well as family eye care.
A native of Syracuse, Dr. Druger attended Nottingham High School. As an undergraduate at Syracuse University, he received numerous scholastic and research awards. He completed degrees in biology, psychology and chemical engineering. Dr. Druger then moved downstate for his graduate and medical education, earning a Ph.D. in molecular biology as well as an M.D. from SUNY Stonybrook School of Medicine. He completed an ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Druger is active in the community, giving seminars on eye disease to various groups as well as teaching residents at SUNY Department of Ophthalmology. Married with three children, Dr. Druger finds the time to work out regularly and has a black belt in the martial art of Aikido.
